Every year, November is a month full of anticipation for the Christmas season, and because of the preparations for the special season, we always have a lot of things to do. But at the same time it is also great fun to plan special things for you. So the countdown to Advent already starts in November and this makes it to one of the most exciting months of the year for us.

November was full of highlights, both job-related and personal. The trip with Peek & Cloppenburg to Gotland was really indescribably beautiful and has put us, thanks to baking cookies, Christmas movies and a typical Christmas dinner, completely into the Christmas mood. The peace, nature and community with the team of Laura, Carmen, Nina, Zoe and Liberta was just perfect.

Even before departure, I made a secret plan with my friend’s boyfriend in Sweden. Because the two became parents for the first time in October and I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to visit the young family and the little Levi. It must be said that Levi is the first baby in my closest circle of friends and therefore I was incredibly excited to meet this little person. Henni, that’s my friend’s name, knew nothing about the spontaneous visit to Ystad and she was totally perplex when I suddenly stood in front of the door. It was amazing two days and I am so grateful to have had a few moments with them during this exciting time. Walks at the beach, shopping baby clothes and hours where I could distract Levi with a rattle while Henni changed his diapers. Of course, I’ve taken him straight to my heart and I am very happy that they are already stopping by for a quick stop in Hamburg today.

Another highlight that came with a surprise was Sonja’s 30th birthday. We spent the day with a shared yoga class and surprised her with a richly set breakfast table. Together, we reminisced about our friendship and how many special moments of her twenties we’ve experienced with her. In the evening we celebrated with all our friends and raised our glasses in a toast to our lovely Sonni. It was a really nice day and it was really great to see how much effort all her sweethearts have given to her that day.

Last but not least we had our last trip for 2019 together. It drew us to the montains in the end of the month. We celebrated an incredibly beautiful Christmas party at the Stanglwirt with Lena Gercke and About You in Kitzbühel. The next day we decided to take the cable car up the mountain to see the first snow. The three of us love winter sports and have decided to plan another ski trip together. Afterwards we spent two nights at the ‘DAS TEGERNSEE’ hotel and could really relax with the best food and spa. This short break during the pre-Christmas season has done us all very well and encouraged us in our anticipation for Christmas. Due to the first Advent we started the journey home and Sven and I have celebrated our sixth anniversary.
