Three days full of breathtaking experiences! Dubai is very multi-faceted and we’ll share our conclusion with you right at the beginning of the blog post: We are very happy that we made this detour. We were already filled with feelings of happiness on Bali and were really excited about what to expect in Dubai. Because one hears many divided opinions about the destination. Some love it, others don’t really like the artificially built city. We can assure you, it’s worth it! The skyline is worth seeing and the fine, white sandy beach everywhere is just great. Simply put, the mix of advanced architecture, beach holidays and traditions is simply unbeatable in Dubai.

La Mer Dubai

La Mer – Dubai’s new beach hotspot offers the best mix of city and beach. In the quarter there is a casual beach flair in the air, which is characterized by art, graffiti and palm trees. The area borders on a 2.5 km long sandy beach and is close to the city’s modern landmarks, the Etihad Museum and the Dubai Water Canal. The area offers something for every taste, relaxation, sports, beach activities, shopping and very good food. Here we have found the very best Moishi stand – you really have to try the Moishi here. Our favourite varieties were banana and Nutella. It’s simply the best combination!

Beach Clubs

Since we weren’t in Dubai for so long we could only test two Beach Clubs but are very positive about both. But if we had to decide for one, it would have been DRIFT.

DRIFT – Luxurious beach chic meets casual elegance!

Drift Beach Club

A breathtaking infinity pool overlooking a beach promenade and charming surroundings with panoramic views of Palm Island Bay and Dubai’s iconic skyline. The ambience is indescribably beautiful, luxurious, beach chic modern in white and turquoise shades. The food and cocktails are excellent. The Beach Club is located at the famous One&Only Royal Mirage.

Good to know is that you pay around 30€ entrance fee, can choose a place at the pool or beach and get a welcome drink at 12 o’clock.  If you spend the whole day there, it’s definitely worth it for the nice atmosphere!

Barasti Beach Club – giant pool, giant screen and daily live music!

Huge describes this Beach Club best! Barasti offers the perfect mix of great music, delicious food and delicious cocktails. Here you can really have a good time and party until late at night.  The club is located at Le Meridien Mina Syahi.

Burj Khalifa

Unfortunately we didn’t manage to see the breathtaking, world-famous skyscraper from the inside and enjoy its view from the very top, but we strongly recommend this experience to you, because the view must be unique.

Wüste Dubai – Fun, adventure and unforgettable impressions!

The desert safari in Dubai exceeded all our expectations! Far away from the modern life, the cloud wreaths, you suddenly find yourself in the middle of an untouched natural wonder. We have decided for a day trip with a jeep tour, but would recommend you to book a private driver and rather spend a little more money, since our booked tour was already very touristy and had a slight impression of mass processing. Nevertheless we had a great time and nature really knocked us out. Shortly before sunset our jeep stopped and we could enjoy the sunset from a dune. Afterwards we drove to a camp where it looked like a little Arabic fairy tale. Seats were built on carpets and while we had dinner we could watch a great belly dance. You will definitely have to experience this live and feel the fascination of the Dubai desert for yourself.

Dubai Mall – A unique experience

„A shopping and entertainment experience like no other.”

World famous and one of the largest shopping malls in the world, offering countless opportunities for entertainment, shopping and leisure. The mall is located right next to the Burj Khalifa and cannot be overlooked. To better imagine the size of the mall – it is over a million square meters in size. So it’s bigger than 200 football pitches. That means you need a lot, really a lot of time and a good overview. Over 1200 shops and hundreds of food and drink stores run through the mall. But there is much more, such as an underwater zoo and an aquarium, an Olympic-sized ice skating rink, a huge cinema complex and an indoor fountain. The best thing to do is to visit the incomparable water show in Dubai at 8pm. A great end to a successful shopping day.

La Ville Hotel Suites City Walk

We can’t explain to you in words how great this hotel is. Everything was more than perfect. From the location, the furnishings to the service. Since the hotel is located directly at the City Walk, one can stroll from here super relaxed into the city. The stylish, modern ambience and the attention to detail create a wonderful overall impression. The hotel offers several excellent own restaurants. The CHIVAL with its delicious international cuisine, GRAZE Gastro Grill uses only organic ingredients from local origins if possible, the elegant wine bar GRAPESKIN and the LOOKUP Rooftop Bar is the hottest bar in the CITY WALK Dubai. There is also the LOBBY CAFE which is open around the clock and offers a variety of coffees and teas as well as healthy light snacks. The food is incredibly good, the selection and quality of the breakfast buffet is excellent. You will find everything your heart desires and you can prepare waffles, crepes and pancakes. In addition, there is a large selection of fresh fruits and freshly squeezed juices. In addition there is the service, which is simply by far the best we have experienced on all our travels. Very friendly, courteous and helpful. The team read every wish from our eyes, remembered our breakfast preferences and on the second morning they were right on the table.

Our conclusion – extraordinarily perfect overall impressions, outstanding service and great stay.
