A blazer belongs in every woman’s closet! Because from casual to chic, a blazer makes us look stylish everytime. For a long time I felt very uncomfortable in this classic piece and I needed a few tries to find the right cut for me. I will show you which of the most popular cuts of a blazer I prefer at the moment in today’s Blazer Styleguide.
The Long Blazer
The long blazer flatters your shape! Because it stretches the upper body optically, covers the butt and can even flow to the middle of the thighs. Depending on your preference, it also makes sense to play with the materials here. If you feel more restricted, use a light and flowing material. This gives the blazer a touch of “kimono” and is a great choice, especially in spring! Combined with a pair of skinny trousers or jeans, you can create a chic yet cool office look. Depending on the occasion, both pumps and sneakers work very well with this outfit.
My absolute favorite is the oversized blazer! We are happy to take this trend with us from the past year! With its long, straight cut and shoulder pads, this model exudes something masculine. The XXL blazer can be combined in many ways. The styling options range from feminine dresses, skinny jeans or leggings to high heels and the casual jeans / T-shirt combination. The statement piece always provides an exciting contrast and can easily be made more feminine with a waist belt.
For this reason, I particularly love the combination of plain jeans, a white T-shirt and our rough Oxford boots. The mix of several fashion styles is perfectly rounded off by the grey blazer. If you are currently having a hard time with jeans and cannot separate yourself from your beloved sweatpants, don’t worry;) The blazer also looks extremely cool with joggers and sneakers and conjures up a look that can be worn out within seconds. If you don’t believe me, you can convince yourself again of the blazer-jogger combination in Sonja’s post from MBFW in February.
