Styleguide – How To Get Warm Through Winter

Slowly, it’s getting really cold outside in Hamburg. For me, this always means wearing warm clothes and getting weatherize. I love to layer some warm pieces to fight against the cold. A winter layering look doesn’t have to look uncool. Even now, you can dress stylish and thermal.

My tips to get warm through winter:

1. I always like to wear a long coat in winter. Simply because it keeps your whole body warm and cozy. My legs are always getting cold very quickly and a pair of jeans isn’t enough to keep them warm.

I’ve been looking for a beige coat for a long time, which has exactly these qualities and I found it at Esprit. I liked the cut directly and whether casual or chic, it fits perfectly with every occasion. By the way, you can find my winter favorite here.

2. Of course it is not enough to wear a warm coat when there are temperatures underneath zero. That’s why I always like to grab a cozy hoodie or a thick wool sweater. My insider tip, if that’s still not enough – wear a longsleeve under your pullover.

3.  Some years ago, I really didn’t like hats. Somehow, I always felt like a little girl when I was wearing one. Meanwhile I love them, because hats and gloves are a really great accessory that can enhance a boring winter look. Besides we lose the most heat over the head. With a nice hat you don’t only look stylish, but you also stay warm much longer.

4. When I have cold feet, I would like to go straight home. That’s why I’ve become accustomed to wearing sturdy leather boots when it’s cold. I often put a lambskin sole in my shoes, then my feet stay warm for a long time.
